I should have taken a picture of my food before because it was beautiful. I went simple and got the eggs, hashbrowns, bacon and biscuit and gravy and it was truly a delicious breakfast! I didn't LOVE the coffee but it doesn't even matter because the food was great lol.
My husband and l stopped in. We were greeted by a sweet young lady. The place wasn’t packed so we were seated right away. I have no idea how it wasn’t packed! This place has the best food and service was great! We ordered the chicken fried steak and it was amazing! One of the best chicken fried steaks we have tasted. Their salad, mashed potatoes, fried okra, and mozzarella sticks were just as amazing and fresh. Definitely recommend!
Stopped here for breakfast while passing through on I40. What a WONDERFUL choice! (gotta give hubby credit for scouting this one out ) He had the chicken fried steak, eggs, hashbrowns, sausage gravy and biscuit. I had the Denver Omelet, home fries and toast. Everything was DELICIOUS! Portions were very generous. Owner took care of us and she was a delight. Friendly, fast and working her butt off! She was the only one waiting tables and many were obviously regulars as she greated them by name and made small talk as she buzzed around filling coffee cups, taking orders, bringing out food and clearing plates. She never stopped moving! If we ever find ourselves in the area again you can bet we'll be back!
Servers were awesome! Hard working. Resturant was clean and had a bunch of locals chatting it up and having breakfast. Prices were good. Food was amazing. Glad we stopped by on our way to Arizona
Locally owned and operated, Janice actually works in the kitchen!. This is a great place for a great “home cooked” meal. I was hungry for biscuits and gravy and they did not disappoint! The staff was friendly and attentive! Located close to the highway-way off and on with plenty of parking. Worth stopping by!
Amazing food and Janice let my husband use a massage chair before his breakfast, because of our long travels. She also gave us a bag of oranges for our travels. What an amazing place. She went above and beyond. Thank you
If you are anywhere near Elk City OK on I-40, you need to stop in at Janice's Cafe. Doesn't look like much from the outside but the food is awesome, service is great, and prices are extremely reasonable. They serve breakfast all day if you are so inclined. I know that we'll be back!
WOW. Our 1st time eating here. We had breakfast. 1st, the waitress was a hustler. There were about 6 tables with 2 or more people at them. I don't think a table was neglected. She kept up with refills, taking orders, bringing food AND cleaning. The breakfast was awesome. We had a veggie omelette and 2 eggs sunny side up. Most definitely will be back. Thanks for the great food and service!!!
